Your baby has outgrown the delicateness of our Baby Provision and is now ready for more adventures – it’s time to move up to Tawny’s!

In Tawny’s, our children are beginning to take risks. They participate in many challenges through discovery learning, while all being focused on their own interests. This sustains engagement and ensures their individual developmental targets are met.

Tawny’s is led by our longstanding Room Leader, Holly. Holly has been with Esscroft for four years and runs the provision alongside her Deputy Charlotte and our Early Years Educators, Beth, Grace and Chloe.

Our Tawny children ooze confidence and become increasingly independent whilst still receiving plenty of emotional care and cuddles when needed.

As in Pygmy’s, Tawny’s ratio is one adult to every three children which means each child receives a truly unique curriculum and encourages children to progress at his / her own rate, within the three Prime Areas of learning and development:

 1.  Physical Development

2.  Communication and Language

3.  Personal Social and Emotional Development

As well has learning experiences indoors, our Esscroft children spend a lot of time learning and exploring outside – (even when the weather isn’t the best). Regular fresh air helps to keep our children (and staff) fit and healthy and minimises illnesses, to the best of our ability.
