Welcome to our newest Woodland Provision, Spotted Owls. Our woodland classroom is currently headed up by our Deputy Room Leader and her Early Years Forest Practitioner.

This provision is for our children nearing 3-years old but whom wont be starting school that September.

This new provision ensures that our children remain in their own cohorts and are encouraged to remain in academic social groups for when they head off to school together.

We see our Woodland Classroom as a mini-Preschool where children build on their existing skills achieved in Snowy Owls and use them to achieve the next steps in their learning.

Our Spotted Owls children are VERY independent and very much take charge of their own learning through lots of child-initiated play. Our skilful Practitioners assist with adult-led activities to ensure our Spotted Owls are reaching high levels in attainment while at Esscroft.
